Beginning as historian of the Hudson's Bay Company, she became its archivist in time to move twenty tons of records from London to Winnipeg. In her present post as keeper of this important collection at the Manitoba Archives, and in her publications, she shares with many her encyclopaedic knowledge of the West and North of Canada.
