A writer and academic of international repute, Robert Kroetsch has devoted close to four decades to exploring the identity of the Prairies. The author of several acclaimed and often-studied novels, collections of poetry and non-fiction books, he is also co-founder of the influential critical journal Boundary 2. Distinguished Professor Emeritus at the University of Manitoba, he is highly regarded as a leading scholar in the development of postmodern literary theory in this country. In addition, he has given generously of his time and talents to younger writers through his involvement in writing seminars.
