Ophthalmologist Paul Dubord has prevented blindness and restored eyesight to thousands of persons across the world. As clinical professor emeritus at the University of British Columbia, he is recognized as one of Canada’s foremost authorities on eye banking and corneal transplantation. He is also a member of the World Health Organization’s Expert Advisory Panel on Cell, Tissue and Organ Transplantation. As founder of Eyesight International, he has accumulated decades of humanitarian service, and has enabled sustainable clinical practice and complex surgical procedures in marginalized communities, notably in India.
