Linda Hutcheon is a luminary of literary criticism and theory. A specialist in postmodernism, she is widely credited with changing the way Western literature, and notably Canadian writing, is studied and understood. Professor emeritus at the University of Toronto, she has earned numerous prestigious awards and honours. Her wide range of volunteer work includes serving as an advisor to the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, as an assessor on the Killam Prize jury, and as a board member for the Canadian Opera Company.
