René Dussault has devoted his career to advancing law and promoting equality. This respected jurist and former justice of the Quebec Court of Appeal first left his mark in public administration, notably as founding president of the Office des professions du Québec and deputy minister of Justice. In addition, as co-chair of the Royal Commission on Aboriginal Peoples, he produced a remarkable report that helped shed new light on their claims and aspirations. He was also involved in legal education and has written or co-authored a great many publications, including Administrative Law: A Treatise, a seminal work in Canada today.
