Louise Roy is an inspiration and a role model for women. Multitalented and dynamic, she is in demand as a manager in several fields. The first woman to head an urban transit company in Canada, she is also known for her efforts to improve governance in the corporate sector. She is held in high regard for having created critical links between the knowledge-based economy and the educational, cultural and business sectors. Former chair of the Conseil des arts de Montréal, and chancellor and chair of the Université de Montréal, she continues to be called upon as a consultant and corporate director at the national and international levels.
