Mary Ferguson-Paré has enhanced the nursing profession and the quality of care for patients. A role model and a leader, she has drawn on her professional experience in acute and long-term care to fill a range of senior positions, notably as chief nurse executive of the University Health Network. She is also engaged in transforming nursing education, through programs at Nipissing and York universities, that link professional experience with scholarship and patient-centered care.
