Connie Eaves is a leading international expert in cancer and stem cell biology. A distinguished scientist and professor at the University of British Columbia and BC Cancer, she introduced groundbreaking methodologies to examine normal and malignant human breast and blood stem cells. She spearheaded the creation of the Canadian Breast Cancer Research Alliance, the first national source of breast cancer research funding in Canada. A passionate advocate for the advancement of women in science, she was recognized for her efforts in the field by Status of Women Canada.
