Conor Gerard Maguire, C.M.

Conor Maguire is a radiology and nuclear medicine specialist. The first person with a high-level spinal cord injury to complete medical school in Canada, he has become a long-time and inspirational leader in both clinical and academic settings. He established the nationally renowned dual certification residency program at the University of Alberta, and his impactful mentorship has laid the foundation for future experts in the field. He also introduced positron emission tomography imaging at the University of Alberta Hospital and in St. John’s, significantly enhancing patient care and helping to improve health outcomes.
