Muse and creator, Carole Laure is an artist who has distinguished herself in various ways. She first made a name for herself as an actress, appearing in films by major Canadian and foreign directors. She has also made her mark behind the camera: her first two feature films, including Les fils de Marie, were selected during the Semaine de la Critique at the 2002 Cannes Film Festival. She is equally known as a singer, having recorded several albums, and has created song and dance performances that have been presented to North American and international audiences. Moreover, she has been an ambassador for Quebec film for the past several years as spokesperson for the Semaine du cinema québécois à Paris.
