Mohan Mathur was a visionary engineer, educator and champion of collaboration between academia and industry. He was instrumental in developing new energy technologies that are used worldwide. During his tenure as dean of engineering at Western University, he greatly increased the faculty’s stature and initiated new interdisciplinary programs. A founder and creative force behind the University Network of Excellence in Nuclear Engineering and several industry-supported research centres, he established a legacy grid of institutions that generate innovative thinking and experiential training for new engineers.
