Peter St George-Hyslop has made seminal contributions to our understanding of neural degeneration. A cross-appointed professor at the University of Toronto and Cambridge University, he has identified multiple genes associated with the development of AlzheimerÆs disease. His pioneering research has had a significant and tangible impact on advancing treatment and intervention options, and shedding light on the different stages of the disease. A distinguished leader in the field, he has been the director of the internationally renowned Tanz Centre for Research in Neurodegenerative Diseases for over 30 years.
