Tenor Michael Schade’s operatic talent is immense. With a diverse repertoire ranging
from Baroque to Mozart and Wagner, he has become world-renowned for his work
with many highly respected conductors. His prolific studio recordings have earned
him praise from the industry and audiences alike. Devoted to mentoring young
artists, he is engaged in many youth initiatives including the Young Singers Project at
the Salzburg Festival and the Stratford Vocal Academy. He is also the artistic director
of both the Stella Maris International Vocal Competition and of the Melk Abbey
International Baroque Festival.
This is an honorary appointment.
