From November 2008 to February 2009, Captain Kleinschmidt provided exceptional service in support of Canadian Forces Operations. He led and designed multiple high priority structural projects for the CH146 fleet in preparation for operations in Afghanistan. Faced with extremely short timelines, he overcame many new systems integration challenges that were vital to the safety and survivability of both aircraft and aircrew. Working at an outstanding pace, he made every conceivable effort to guarantee the success of these essential projects.
