As commanding officer of HMCS Halifax, Commander Clayton has led the introduction into service of Canada's first new major warship in almost 20 years. He has represented Canada's navy and industry in many public demonstrations with outstanding skill and confidence. During three years of intense national and international public scrutiny, Commander Clayton's enthusiasm, dedication and professionalism have been key factors in the successful introduction of HMCS Halifax into service.
