Major Carrier displayed exceptional professionalism while deployed to Djibouti during the Canadian Armed Forces non-combatant evacuation operation in Sudan, from April 19 to May 4, 2023. As the Canadian Joint Operations Command liaison officer, he brilliantly coordinated the safe evacuation of more than 800 Canadians and partner nation citizens from the conflict zone and ensured critical medical care. Major Carrier’s leadership in a challenging environment brought great credit to Canada.
