From January to July 2021, Commodore Charlebois was deployed to Bahrain as the commander of Combined Task Force 150. Effectively balancing Canadian strategic objectives in the Middle East with those of the Combined Maritime Force, he led this vital multinational task force at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, the ships under his command experienced many operational successes while at sea. Commodore Charleroi’s’ exceptional professionalism greatly contributed to regional security and stability, thereby bringing great credit to Canada.
