From November 2020 to March 2021, Lieutenant-Colonel Petersen displayed exceptional leadership and dedication while seconded to the Public Health Agency of Canada as the Vaccine Rollout Task Force planning officer, in Ottawa, Ontario. His collaborative approach to inter-agency planning and his commitment to achieving results were instrumental to the successful roll-out of COVID-19 vaccines and the optimism that this effort engendered. Lieutenant-Colonel Petersen provided a vital contribution to the nation’s readiness to receive and administer vaccines, and consequently, to protect Canadians.
