    From September 2018 to June 2019, Lieutenant-Colonel Guay was deployed as head of the Commander’s Initiative Group of the NATO Mission Iraq in Baghdad. His exceptional analytical skills, dedication and extraordinary leadership brilliantly contributed to the success of the mission despite difficult conditions in a complex environment. Moreover, he led, developed or actively collaborated on all of the mission’s key activities. Lieutenant-Colonel Guay’s consistent efforts ensured increased credibility and a high degree of respect for Canada within allied forces in Iraq.
