Lieutenant-Colonel Kennedy served as the first commanding officer of the National Support Element of Task Force Latvia from July 2018 to January 2019. He played a vital role in establishing a new, coherent and effective unit, and his interpersonal skills helped to strengthen ties with Latvian and NATO partners. Patient and dedicated, he helped transform logistical support for NATO’s enhanced Forward Presence as he oversaw the adoption of a first multinational logistics coordination centre. His achievements greatly benefited NATO’s deterrence mission and the Canadian presence in Latvia.
