While deployed in Iraq, Petty Officer 2nd Class Furman performed his duties to an exceptionally high standard. His efforts resulted in an unprecedented increase in the coalition’s conduct of precise and expedient technical exploitation of captured material. As a result of his expertise, the coalition was able to target Daesh senior leaders in the region. Petty Officer 2nd Class Furman’s professionalism and dedication enhanced the Canadian profile within the Five Eyes community, thus bringing great credit to the Canadian Armed Forces.
