Lieutenant-Colonel Morrison served as commanding officer of the Task Force Mali Aviation Battalion from July 2018 to January 2019. Instrumental to the establishment of the new combat zone aeromedical evacuation capability, he led a unit involved in several complex airmobile operations under dangerous conditions, saving many lives and contributing to the success of the United Nations mission. Known for his positive and respectful approach, he conducted himself with diplomacy as a mentor and trainer of soldiers from other countries working in Mali.
