As the commanding officer of Her Majesty’s Canadian Ship Regina, Commander Charlebois was crucial to the success of two different missions between February 15 and August 3, 2014. Initially deployed in an anti-terrorism role in the Indian Ocean, his ship was re-tasked on short notice to reinforce NATO allies in the Mediterranean Sea. Despite this sudden change, Commander Charlebois displayed great leadership and command presence, ensuring the crew adapted seamlessly, which brought great credit to the Canadian Armed Forces.
