During the raid on Dieppe in 1942, Sister Agnès displayed great courage and determination as she nursed wounded Canadian soldiers despite protests by German authorities. Now a senior citizen, Sister Agnès remains faithful to duty. She continues to take part in the annual commemoration of the raid on Dieppe and in ceremonies marking Canada's battle exploits. In August 1997, she volunteered to coordinate billeting for the delegation of veterans who travelled to Dieppe for the 55th Anniversary. Sister Agnès is a pillar of strength who has a special place in the hearts of veterans and other Canadians.
