Working to bridge relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people, the late Allan Pard was the driving force behind Alberta’s First Nations Sacred Ceremonial Objects Repatriation Act. Facilitating the return of ceremonial artifacts to the Blackfoot community, this act sets a standard of culturally sensitive curation of Indigenous artifacts for governments and museums around the world.
