    In order to assist investigators and chemists in determining the potential drug yields from chemicals found in clandestine laboratories, Sgt Pearson and Messrs. Evoy and Hugel developed and released in 2000 the Drug Yield Calculator computer program. Among other applications, the program offers the means to identify some of the chemicals required for the production of illicit drugs. It also provides accurate information suitable for court testimony and expert witness evidence. Messrs. Evoy and Hugel and Sgt Pearson spent several hundred hours of their own time in developing this valuable tool, which is now used by chemists, drug enforcement services and police agencies around the world.
