In 1994, accomplished cellist Julian Armour founded the Ottawa Chamber Music Festival, one of Canada's most important annual cultural events. Presented during the summer months, mostly in some of the national capital region’s most beautiful heritage churches, the Festival features performances by some of the best musicians from across Canada, as well as internationally renowned ensembles. Thanks to Mr. Armour's continued devotion and artistic direction, the renamed Ottawa International Chamber Music Festival has become the largest event of its kind in the world.
