After her sister was murdered in 1992, Virginie Larivière began a national campaign against violence in the media. She crisscrossed the country to raise awareness among the public, and gathered more than one million signatures on a petition to put an end to gratuitous violence on television. The energy, courage, determination and commitment of this young girl have been an inspiration to Canadians everywhere.
