Arthur Lee immigrated from China to Canada in 1965. He has achieved significant success as a garment manufacturer in Toronto, Ontario. As an expression of his love for his adopted country, this reserved and modest individual purchased Colonel John McCrae's War Medals in 1997 and generously donated them to the McCrae House Museum in Guelph, Ontario. In spite of his wish for privacy, his act evoked a warm response across the country. He is thus a role model and source of pride for all Canadians. Mr. Lee's generosity has ensured and preserved part of our Canadian heritage.
