In 1992 and 1994, R.C.M.P. Sergeant Cameron provided exceptional service as Station Commander to the UN Protection Force Civilian Police in the former Yugoslavia. He demonstrated outstanding professionalism throughout both missions and displayed remarkable courage when placed in life-threatening situations. In addition, his extraordinary negotiation skills proved crucial in the safe release of POWs and fostered a better working relationship between the local Serb and Muslim authorities.
