The late Serge Haber started the Jewish Seniors Alliance of Greater Vancouver to champion and enhance the well-being of seniors. In 2003, he created a welcoming community for seniors who felt isolated and marginalized following their retirement. The alliance has benefited thousands of citizens by providing peer support, socialization and counselling services, as well as outreach programming to people in need from all faiths.
