Chantal Petitclerc holds the Canadian records in all distance categories in wheelchair racing from events such as the Paralympic Games in Barcelona in 1992, Atlanta in 1996 and Sydney in 2000. She is also a television host and a speaker, as well as the spokesperson of the Défi sportif , a sports competition for athletes with disabilities held annually in Montreal. An accomplished athlete, Ms. Petitclerc has contributed greatly to the advancement of women athletes and is a true ambassador for persons with disabilities, promoting social integration and access to both recreational and competitive physical activity.
