Throughout his long career, the late Dr. Gerard McCarthy was a tireless advocate for women’s obstetrical health. His skill, compassion and legendary commitment to patients were an inspiration to the many obstetrics students and residents he mentored. Dedicated to providing first-hand care in remote northern communities as well as in Winnipeg, he earned the trust of several generations of mothers and brought thousands of babies into the world.
