On March 24, 2015, Jean-François Bouchard came to the rescue of a farmer who was trapped in a grain silo in Saint-Gédéon, Quebec. Mr. Bouchard saw that his colleague was being buried by the grain and immediately jumped in. He uncovered the man's face so that he could breathe. Despite the danger of being buried himself, Mr. Bouchard stayed by his colleague's side in
-20° temperatures for over 45 minutes, until emergency services arrived.
