On January 26, 2013, off-duty volunteer firefighter Shaun Dimit rescued his father-in-law from his burning house in Oxdrift, Ontario. Despite the thick smoke filling the house, Mr. Dimit crawled inside, located the unconscious victim and pulled him to safety only moments before the house became fully engulfed in flames.
