On September 12, 2011, Leading Seaman Neil Harper put his life at risk to stop an alarming diesel fuel leak onboard HMCS Iroquois. Leading Seaman Harper entered a confined enclosure and, using only readily available materials, deflected the high-pressure leak away from a hot engine, thus averting a significant risk of fire.
