Medal of Bravery
On June 8, 2009, Wayne Pruden entered a burning house to rescue an unconscious resident, in Trenton, Ontario. As he was driving by, Mr. Pruden noticed flames coming from the roof of a house. He ran to the back of the residence and observed a man inside a smoke-filled room. He slid the patio door open, crawled inside and made his way to where the victim lay. Struggling in the intense heat and smoke, Mr. Pruden succeeded in pulling the victim out onto the deck. Sadly, the victim did not survive.
