On November 18, 2006, 10-year-old Marshall Davis rescued a friend who was being attacked by a coyote, in Edmonton, Alberta. Marshall was playing outside when he heard screams. He ran to the backyard where he discovered that a coyote was attacking his friend. Marshall shouted at the animal to chase it away. When the coyote came after him, Marshall punched it repeatedly. The animal stopped only an instant before trying to attack him again. The boys managed to run inside the house to safety. The coyote was later trapped in the backyard and taken away.
