Floyd D. Morris, M.B. Medal of Bravery On March 19, 2006, Floyd Morris rescued a father and his two-year-old son from a burning vehicle, in Advocate Harbour, Nova Scotia. Mr. Morris struggled frantically with the driver, who was in a state of shock, until he was able to extract him from the car, which was totally engulfed in flames. Hearing cries, he then ran to the other side to retrieve the baby. Although impeded by the intensifying flames and blinding smoke, he was able to cut the straps of the child's car seat and bring him out to safety.
