On June 20, 1994, in the village of Foster, Quebec, Mr. Beaulieu saved a woman from a burning house. When he saw the house next door in flames, he rushed over to help. Seeing no sign of the woman inside, he climbed in the window of the smoke-filled house and felt around in the darkness until he found the victim lying on the ground. Mr. Beaulieu managed to drag her to the window and push her outside. He then jumped out the window himself, and helped combat the blaze until the firefighters arrived.
