Paul Bourgoin, M.B. Corrado Sartore, M.B. Medal of Bravery On 26 August 1976, Paul Bourgoin and Corrado Sartore saved the life of a fellow-worker at the Francon quarry in Montreal, who had been half-buried in a stone pile above a conveyor belt. Hearing of the accident, Messrs. Bourgoin and Sartore ran to the scene and positioned themselves on either side of the victim. For hours, and at very grave risk to themselves, they held the man upright. Firemen and workmen persevered with them through the night until the victim was finally released at noon the following day.
