Corporal Kenneth William Caswell, M.B. Ronald Dundas, M.B. Medal of Bravery Cpl. Kenneth Caswell of the Canadian Armed Forces Third Canadian Mechanized Commando and Ronald Dundas rescued two men from a single-engine aircraft that crashed at Edmonton on 3 May 1976. The plane had lost altitude after take-off and struck high-tension wires. Mr. Caswell and Mr. Dundas were driving in the area and saw the explosion and fire. They raced to the scene where they found fire starting all around the overturned wreckage. They found the pilot crawling from the cockpit and led him to safety. They then extricated another man, who was trapped in the rear seat; two other occupants of the plane could not be reached in time and perished in the fire.
