On April 25, 1992, in Minaki, Ontario, seven-year-old Jocelyn McDonald prevented her five-year-old friend from being molested. After a man approached the two girls and told them to remove some of their clothing, Jocelyn warned her friend not to listen to him. The man then grabbed the five-year-old, covered her mouth and headed toward his nearby house. Jocelyn pursued him, tugging at her friend, and hit the man with a rock, making him lose his grip momentarily. Nevertheless, the assailant managed to bring the five-year-old into his house. Sneaking inside a moment later, Jocelyn searched for her friend. She found the little girl alone in the bedroom and together they fled the house.
