On July 7, 1992, Mr. Langdon rescued a man from a burning cabin in Western Arm Brook, Newfoundland. Hearing an explosion, he ran to the flaming cabin, kicked the door partially open, and realized that a person who had collapsed was blocking the entrance. Reaching in to move the unconscious man away from the door, Mr. Langdon gained entry into the smoke-filled room. He dragged the victim to safety and quickly extinguished the man's burning clothing.
