    On July 11, 1992, in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Hercegovina, Capt. Bélisle and Sgt. Forest, of the 1st Battalion, Royal 22nd Regiment, rescued two seriously wounded women. Under sniper fire, Capt. Bélisle returned fire to shield Sgt. Forest, who crawled up beside the two victims. He brought the first one out of danger, and still protected by Capt. Bélisle, succeeded in bringing out the second. While still under fire from the snipers, the two rescuers assisted the latter in climbing aboard a military vehicle.
