On November 4, 1992, near Ajax, Ontario, Mr. Green rescued a man from a burning truck. Mr. Green was driving on Highway 401 when the truck swerved in front of him, hit two other vehicles, flipped over repeatedly, landed on its side, and burst into flames. He immediately ran to help the dazed driver, breaking the windshield with a metal bar and pulling the windshield out with his bare hands. Aware that the truck was surrounded by gas and that flames were licking at the cab, Mr. Green pulled the driver from the vehicle and dragged him to safety.
