The maple leaf and diagonal lines evoke a vessel in flight. Along with the orbit, they represent aerospace control. The Royal Crown symbolizes service to the Sovereign. The badge composed of one or two wings, a laurel wreath and the Royal Crown is common to all trade and occupational badges of the Canadian Armed Forces.
