Blazon

A pellet charged with a mullet of six points Or interlaced with an annulus Argent, all ensigned by the Royal Crown proper and environed by a wreath of maple leaves issuant from an annulus, overall in base a scroll Or inscribed with the Motto in letters Sable;

Symbolism

The six-pointed star represents the international activities of the Canadian Defence Attaché Unit (CDAU), which supports the Canadian Armed Forces and National Defence throughout all six inhabited continents. The ring symbolizes togetherness and assistance, as the CDAU gathers resources and directs them to those in need. The all-encompassing nature of the ring also symbolizes the CDAU’s activity with all three environments of the Canadian Armed Forces. As a neutral colour, black alludes to the CDAU’s involvement with all areas and environments.
