Since 2008, retired Colonel Keith Lawrence has been serving as the director of The Toronto Commandery Hospice, where he is involved in efforts to build a new 10-bed residence. He also volunteered with St. John Ambulance for more than a decade, was involved with the Aboriginal Literacy Initiative and has served the homeless in Toronto.
