For 10 years, Jean-Louis Chouinard has volunteered his time as director of the Museum of Living Memory and as president of the associated Corporation Philippe-Aubert de Gaspé. He mobilized the resources necessary to reconstruct the Aubert de Gaspé manor, created lasting partnerships with private stakeholders, and generated a growing repository of regional oral histories and recorded memories for future generations.
